Opinews #4 – Hubspot hooks up with Shopify, Adobe buys Magento, Ebay still sucks & UK ecommerce is on the rise

It’s May 25 and surprisingly, today we’re not going to be talking about GDPR. If you wat to know more about it, we did an entire long form episode on GDPR earlier on this week. You can check it out here: taketraction.com/podcast/13-gdpr-wtf

Today we’re discussing some of the latest news in the ecommerce world, including:

  • Hubspot’s new integrations with Shopify and Facebook Workplace. Could this mean a change in direction from Hubspot’s previous all-in-one, let’s-take-over-the-world, attitude?
  • Adobe is acquiring Magento for $1.68B. Will the amazing guys at Adobe be able to bring Magento back from the dead?
  • Is Ebay ever going to get with the times? Well, it looks like they might be trying.
  • UK ecommerce is going through the roof, with a total of €15.6B being spent online last year, a 13.65% growth!
